Piano Man

God has answered so many specific prayer requests that we lifted up before Him on behalf of Piano Man!! God is so good!! Piano Man has transitioned like a champ (so far). After a long day of traveling, he fell asleep in the car on the ride home. After waking up, we fed him some rice and fruit, which he devoured. I then made him some potstickers that my friend Ting Ting recommended and he ate those up. The girls took him outside and they kicked a ball and he learned each of their names. He is so sweet and is super smart! He wants to speak in English as much as possible, so he keeps asking us the names of things in English. He has attended an American run program in China and they have taught him how to count and his colors. He was so interested in trying to read English letters, that Wayne sat down with him and taught him the alphabet. After the girls went to bed, he stayed up with us and played magna tiles, ball of whacks, and Simon. He took a shower and then we put him in bed at 10 pm. He slept all the way until 6:30am!!!

We are so thankful that this transition has gone so smoothly so far. He got up and played the piano a little with the girls. He knows how to play a little and read simple music. He also loves to sing do-re-me!! We are so blessed to have him with our family for this month. We can't wait to see how much he blossoms for the month, after seeing such progress he has made in just the last few hours! Please pray for his doctor appointment on Monday in Chicago. Pray that the doctor can give us some answers that can help his special need. Please also pray for our dentist appointment at the beginning of August. I'm not a dentist, but his teeth look like they need some help. Here are some pictures from our first few hours with Piano Man!! Please let me know if you have any specific questions about hosting or that you'd like to know about Piano Man. We also plan on going to many parks this summer, so if you'd like to meet him, let me know.

If you missed our first post on his arrival, you can see that here

The girls keep following him around and surrounding him. They are enthralled by him. Here they were listening to him play the piano and sing.

Breakfast of champions...rice, scrambled eggs, and fruit!!

He loves Simon and will sing the tune as he plays.
