Psalm 89:9 “You rule the raging sea; when its waves rise, You still them.”
We were blessed to be able to get away for a few days for spring break. Our trip started out in Virginia to visit Abigail and her family, including my favorite little person-Ruth. She is so much fun right now as she’s exploring her toes and loves to giggle and chat.
After we left Abigail’s house, we headed for Vienna, VA to drop Shan off with his best friend, Sibin. From there, Micaela, Joella, and I drove to Cape May, NJ. We spent the afternoon exploring the cute town before heading to our hotel. While they watched tv, I went downstairs to the gym and completed my half marathon on the treadmill.
The next morning, we got up and walked along the beach. It was freezing, but we still managed to have fun finding creatures and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We saw pods of dolphins, bald eagles, osprey, horseshoe crabs, conch shells, and more. It was such a gift to have this time with the girls.
We saw a WW2 lookout building they had along the shore.
We created a snack plate for dinner. They made sure we had all the food groups.
We took a ferry from NJ to Delaware. We spent the night there before heading to DC for the day. That evening, I completed state #45 (DE). Only 5 more states to go!!
The next morning we woke up early and headed toward DC for the day. Part 2 coming soon.
