Update 5/28/25: Day 1

Psalm 28:7 “The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him.”

A quick update: Yesterday, the kids and I drove up to Chicago. We wanted to make sure that we had enough time in case we forgot anything. The bonus was that we were able to meet up with friends.

This morning, not long before we were getting ready to leave for the airport, I received a frantic call from Naomi. Somehow Wayne had tripped at home and face planted on the floor, chipping his two front teeth. I was thankful for the amazing EMTs, my dad, Dominique, neighbors that texted me to see if things were okay, and my daughters. The plan is to get Wayne two crowns over his broken teeth. If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry right? I told him he has to stay bubble wrapped for the next few weeks.

Today was our long travel day. 15.5 hours in the plane. Once we hit 9 hours, we were all wishing we had money to fly business class and sleep in a pod! 🤣 We are currently just minutes away from arriving in Hong Kong.

The kids all synced their screens to watch a movie in unison. They found some interesting ways to stay busy on the long flight.

We will be updating as much as possible on our trip.

Prayer Requests:

1) Wayne’s teeth and that they can get them crowned.
2) Our health and safety as we travel around China.
