Update 1/23/25

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

Have you ever heard the phrase God never wastes a hurt? I would say that applies to any pain, trial, or hardship we face…it never goes to waste if you are willing to allow God to use it and you! The verse above explains it beautifully. When you are walking through a trial or pain, God comforts you in that space. You are now equipped to later help others walking the same difficult road and comfort them with the comfort God gave you. For example: I have been able to walk along side numerous women who have husbands with terminal cancer because I understand what they are going through and I can comfort them with truths from God’s Word that has helped me. You never know how God will use the pain you are experiencing!

After the video post the other day, God laid an idea on my heart. I know there are some who read this blog who may not have a personal relationship with Jesus or even believe there is a God that I talk constantly about. I am going to open up “the floor” so to speak and try to answer questions or show you more of who God is so you can have this same amazing relationship with Him that I have. My desire is that everyone would know Him and experience His amazing love and comfort that He pours out on me every day. I have created an email just for this purpose (because I don’t want my real email to somehow end of on a spammer’s list). Feel free to send me questions, comments, thoughts, prayer requests…anything that I might be able to do for you! I will then create a video (God keeps challenging me to grow in uncomfortable ways) to share with all of you about these topics. If no one sends anything in, I’ll create my own topics that I think may be helpful to you on your journey.

I look forward to receiving questions and discussing God’s Word together.

Update: Wayne

Wayne continues to blow everyone’s mind. He does therapy twice a week and walks the track at least two other days. Speaking still gives him trouble, but even with that, his old teasing self is there. He likes to give us all a hard time. Tomorrow he has an appointment with his palliative care nurse. We always enjoy her visits since she helps us see the big picture and how well he is doing vs when she first met him last year.🩷

Update: Rebecca

I have been on cloud nine after my last ct scan results. I can’t stop giving God all the glory for my healing. It has been amazing to see God answers prayers on my behalf and my friend at church. I have my immunotherapy tomorrow morning. Please pray for my veins to hang in there. I’m so done with all these ivs.
