Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool.”
If you missed my announcement the other day, I wanted to share it again with you since I have yet to receive any emails. After the video post the other day, God laid an idea on my heart. I know there are some who read this blog who may not have a personal relationship with Jesus or even believe there is a God that I talk constantly about. I am going to open up “the floor” so to speak and try to answer questions or show you more of who God is so you can have this same amazing relationship with Him that I have. My desire is that everyone would know Him and experience His amazing love and comfort that He pours out on me every day. I have created an email just for this purpose: Harderfamilyquestions@gmail.com
Feel free to send me questions, comments, thoughts, prayer requests…anything that I might be able to do for you! I will then create a video to share with all of you about these topics. If no one sends anything in, I’ll create my own topics that I think may be helpful to you on your journey. So this is your last chance to avoid being bored by my topic selection. 😆
Update Wayne:
Wayne’s appointment with his palliative team went well. Nothing new to report there. Although Wayne doesn’t want an MRI, we may have to get one later this year to keep his LT disability provider happy. I guess when you live past the 3-6 month expectancy after ending treatments, they worry that his terminal cancer is no longer an issue?
Wayne’s therapies have been going well. He has been using a Zynex tens machine to help improve nerve activity to his right arm. Wayne is faithfully working hard to try to get stronger. He’s determination is amazing!
Update Rebecca:
My immunotherapy went well on Friday. It was a long day at the hospital, but I’m thankful for another successful treatment. This time I have felt the effects a little more…my joints hurt and I was more tired than normal. My team at Baptist is phenomenal. I love my doctor and all the infusion nurses are just great!
Update Family:
Life continues to move quickly around us. The kids are all back in school and knee deep in classes. Grace is a few weeks into her surgical assistant program. She is thriving and doing amazing! She demonstrated to Wayne and I how she has to gown up and wash herself down for surgery (at least what she has learned in class to prepare for her future work). It was an interesting process and made us appreciate all the work that goes into making a sterile environment for surgery.
Naomi is working for a local dance studio and saving up money for her summer mission trip to Ireland. She’s also volunteering at church with the youth group and preschool kids. I love her heart for serving Jesus!
Shan is ready for Chinese New Year. We will be having a Chinese feast in a few days. He is doing well in all his dual enrollment classes. Shan is hoping to pursue being a neurosurgeon, so we need to look into some colleges for him.
The only thing pretty about ice is the beautiful picture it makes when the sun shines through it. All the trees looked like they had diamonds.
Joella loves school too. She traveled a week ago with her Beta Club to Lexington to the state convention. They love all the new experiences they get to participate in at school.
We heard from Abigail today and the newlyweds are doing well. They finally get to move into their new apartment on Saturday. Moving to this new stage with Abigail is so unique. It feels weird that she’s not in our home anymore, and yet we are thrilled for her and Elijah’s new life together.
Prayer Requests:
- Wayne: Pray for Wayne as he works with his arm that it will gain some function back. I know this would encourage him.
- Rebecca: pray for my joint pain to go away from my treatment.
- Please pray for my dad who has a follow up appointment regarding his tumor and for Wayne's dad's health.
