Song of Solomon 3:4 "I have found the one whom my soul loves."
Time flies when you are with the one you love. Yesterday, Wayne and I celebrated 26 years. When you are young and in love, life feels invincible. A true test of love and your vows comes when life's storms hit. Not many young newlyweds think about "in sickness and in health". The last ten years of our marriage have been a test of those vows. I'm not saying at any point we thought about throwing in the towel, but it definitely stretches you when your "normal world" becomes a "new normal". Our love has deepened over the years and we now appreciate life and memories together more than ever.
Our life: 27 years as friends; 26 years married; 8 kids; lived in 3 states; visited 49 states; renovated 4 homes together; started and sold a business; both CPAs; both worked in a Big 4 accounting firm in the city; both finished college while married; 7 surgeries between the two of us; 3 cancers (skin, brain, endometrial); visited 23 National Parks and numerous other National Monuments, National Historical Sites, etc.; visited 2 countries together; both have taught countless Sunday school classes and Wayne preached quite a few sermons; laughed hundreds of hours and have cried quite a few as well; and made countless memories together and with our kids. In light of 26 years together, I am sharing some photo memories of our years together.
