Psalm 121:1-2 “I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”
We visited Tans Donuts twice in California. It was Wayne’s favorite donut place. He always got glazed raised donuts. We went in his memory.
Shan wanted to see where I grew up as a kid, so we took a detour through Lake County and visited my uncle. He always tells the best stories.
Along our drive to Redwood National Park, we stopped to see Paul Bunyan and Blue.
The redwoods did not disappoint. I could stay in the woods forever. Between the coast and redwood trees, I felt like I was home.
We played lots of games with Wayne’s mom. The kids and I were spoiled while we stayed there.
Hiking with the cousins, swimming in freezing water, visiting the beach, and touring cheese factories.
Donuts late at night on their way to the airport.
Mount St. Helens: view on the road to my in-law’s house.
Downtown Portland: Shan had to make a quick visit to Shriners to check his leg on our trip. We took the gondola up to see the view.
Beach! Nice cool day at the beach.
I will post the last couple days of our trip next week.
