Summer Fun!!

Psalm 100: 1-5 "Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into His presence with singing! Know that the Lord, He is God! It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations."

Tuesday: August 4th

On Tuesday, the girls and I went and visited some friends from Classical Conversations. We hadn't seen them since May when CC ended. It was a fun morning playing in the sun and catching up on life. Thank you L. family for having all of us over for the morning! We can't wait to meet the new addition to your family!!

Later that afternoon, Phoebe and Joash came and visited us. The girls loved playing with a "little baby", especially Joella.

Bummed that I forgot a picture with Phoebe...we were too busy talking!

Wednesday: August 5th

Wednesday morning started off with our weekly trip to the Farmer's Market. We met up with my friend Jessica and her kids. After we bought some food and played at the playground, we stopped in at the library. The kids had a blast exploring a new library. Later that afternoon, we visited my friend Jill and her kids. We had so much fun with them that I forgot to take a picture! We are trying to squeeze in as many fun play dates as possible before school starts and summer is all over!

Thursday: August 6th

On Thursday, one of my good friends from Moody came to visit us. Karin is one of those friends that when you get together with them, it seems as though no time has passed since you last saw each other. It was an amazing time of fellowship sharing what God has been doing in our lives. I loved hearing about her life in Ohio and how God is working to help establish Safe Families there. Karin has been instrumental during Wayne's fight with cancer. She has been a great resource and has been quick to answer any questions I send her. Karin's information not only comes from her experience as a great nurse, Karin's mom bravely fought GBM. Karin has first hand experience researching GBM and shared all that she knew with me. I hate that Karin and her family had to endure GBM, but I'm so thankful for how she has blessed me with all of her knowledge.

God is so good with so many people He has placed in my life over the years. Who knew that friendships started fourteen years ago would turn into a lifelong friendships? I'm so glad that God called Wayne to attend Moody! The friendships developed during those two years are some of the best that we share. I couldn't ask for better friends!!

Note: When asking a seven year old to clean up her mess, make sure you've taught her to not put appliances with plugs in the sink with water. I got off the phone and turned around and found my hand mixer in the sink. As I pulled it up out of the water, water poured out of my mixer. Thankfully, I dried it out and it worked the other day!!

Thursday night ended with a date out with Wayne! Those dates are always special. Thank you Claire and Sammi for watching our girls and making this possible!!!

Friday: August 7th

Friday morning we met up with Eileen at a park. "Mrs. Ped-a-lee", as the girls call her, is someone extra special to our family. Eileen worked for me when I owned my cornhole bean bag business. She has been such a blessing to our family over the years. The girls absolutely love Eileen and we had a great time at the park with her.

We got bagels as a special morning treat for breakfast

******************************

Wayne has been doing amazing on his third cycle of chemo!! God has been answering our prayers - He is so good! Wayne's sister and her family flew in Sunday morning. We are having a blast catching up with family. The girls are loving the time with their cousins.

Psalm 107:1 "Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever."
