Week/Weekend Review:

Psalm 95:1-7 "Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise! For the Lord is a great God,
and a great King above all gods. In His hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are His also. The sea is His, for He made it, and His hands formed the dry land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand."

Last week was a busy week. The girls attended another VBS (they attended four different VBS this summer-they enjoy VBS). This week's VBS was at St. Paul's Bible Church. We've been going to this VBS for the past three years. They absolutely love this VBS and all the friends they have made over the years. Here are some pictures from our week.

Tuesday:

Abigail and her friend Ryan

Pictures from Naomi's VBS class. I helped out with this class a few days this week since her class was over 20 kids each day.

We went to Chick'fil'a for ice cream. It was a hot day and summer is almost over, so why not go out for ice cream after VBS...dessert before lunch is the best!

Wednesday:

Wednesday we met up with our friends the Bacerott family at a park after VBS. We had a picnic, played in the water, and celebrated Miranda's birthday (Sophia's best friend) with cupcakes.

Best friends: Olivia, Micaela and Joella

Thursday:

Thursday morning was a very full day. Thursday morning I took Wayne downtown for his doctor appointment and MRI. Then I picked the girls up from VBS. After lunch, we met up with my friend Dori at a park near our house. The girls rode their bikes to the park and then played at the park as Dori and I walked and talked. It's amazing how much catching up you have to do when you haven't seen someone for a few weeks. God has blessed me with some very special friends, and Dori is one of them.

Friday:

Friday was another busy, but fun day. It started off with meeting my dear friend Angela and her son at VBS. We went to Panera Bread to catch up on life since we haven't seen each other for a few months. It was a sweet time of fellowship and testifying to what God has been doing in our lives. After VBS, the girls and I came home and picked up Wayne for an afternoon at the beach with our friends the Kohs. It was a gorgeous day at the beach! The water was the perfect temperature and the waves were calm until around 6pm. After 6, we told the kids they couldn't go back in the water because it was too rough. That same evening, a local girl drowned not too far from where we were at the beach. Be praying for the Froese family. A close friend of mine is friends with the family. I can't imagine the grief they are facing at this time. It is another great reminder to all of us that life is short! Never take a moment for granted!!

Beverly Shores Beach: I loved how there was a little "pool" for the little ones to play in at the beach. We took them in the lake later, but it was nice to not have to worry about them drowning while they played in the water.

Had to get a selfie with my man!

Saturday:

Saturday started off early. I woke up and saw I had a text from a friend about the girl missing in Lake Michigan. Wayne and I prayed for Chase and her family right after we heard the news. Once we were done praying, we couldn't sleep anymore. So, we were up at 5:30am!! It ended up being a very productive day since we were up so early. We ended our day with some friends coming over for a bbq. We had an amazing time of fellowship with the Oakley and Medina families. (I was having so much fun, I forgot to take pictures)

Sunday:

We started Sunday off by going to church. After church, we went to lunch with our friends the Kreiders. During lunch, we noticed that Micaela's nose and eye were swollen. She had mentioned that morning that her nose was bothering her, but I didn't see anything. After church I thought she was just making a face at her sisters when I looked at her. I later realized that she was having some kind of allergic reaction. We quickly left and took her to an immediate care. We were instructed to just give her benadryl and see her pediatrician today (which we did). The doctor today (Monday), gave us a stronger medicine to use. Hopefully we'll start seeing improvement by tonight, if not, she'll start an antibiotic to make sure there isn't an infection in her nose. Never a dull moment in our house!!!

Monday morning (after 4 doses of Benadryl) - my poor baby!!

Sunday is also the day I have to fill Wayne's pill container for the week. I had to take a picture to show all the different pills and supplements he is taking (one supplement isn't in the photo since it has to stay refrigerated). Thank goodness for the pill case to remember when to take all of these pills!!

God is good!!

Psalm 136:1 "Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever."
