1 Chronicles 16:34 "Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever!"
I have decided that November is going to be a month of thanks for our family. Each day I am going to blog and write about two things that I am thankful for in my life. I think it is too easy to get caught up in life and miss out on so many blessings around us. I'm hoping this challenge keeps me accountable to post every day this month. Hopefully this challenge will help all of us think about the many things in our lives for which we can give thanks.
1. God: I could go on forever about what I am thankful for when it comes to God. He loved me and chose me when I was a wretched sinner; He did all the work to save me - from softening my heart to the truth of who He is and opening my eyes to that truth, paying the price for my sin, giving me the gift of the Holy Spirit to work in my life to make me more like His Son. The list goes on. He has never left my side, He is always there for me, His attributes and very nature leave me breathless, His patience with me is unbelievable. Different aspects of God and what He has done and is doing may come up again throughout the month because there is so much to be thankful for about God!
2. Wayne: after praying for years as a young girl for my future spouse, I was blessed by God with the amazing gift of Wayne. It has been almost 17 years of marriage. In that time, I have seen God grow Him into an amazing man of God. We moved to Chicago for Wayne to attend Moody Bible. He wanted to get a foundation in the Bible so that he could be the spiritual leader in our household. He has challenged me to grow in my faith, mature in handling life issues (like calling companies and standing up for what is right). Wayne has helped pull me out of my shell, been my cheerleader, my best friend, and biggest supporter (from running races to running a business, disciplining young women at church to homeschooling our kids). I am so thankful for every day God gives me with Wayne. After going through a traumatic time like we did a few months ago, it makes you appreciate things so much more. I've always loved and appreciated Wayne, but every moment with him is a special gift. I'm so thankful that God not only answered my prayers, but went above and beyond those requests to bring me Wayne.
What are you thankful for? Feel free to share in the comments or email me what you are thankful for rebeccaharder35@gmail.com. Let's celebrate all that God does for us every day!!

Wayne is on day 4 of his chemo. He is hanging in there with this round. Lots of sleeping, but so far no stomach pains like the previous two cycles. Our next MRI is 11-10. Thank you for continuing to pray for us!
