Amazing Results

1 Chronicles 29:11-13 "Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule overall. In Your hand are power and might, and in Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. And now we thank You, our God, and praise Your glorious name."

We just left Wayne's room. I am amazed and astounded at what I saw. Wayne looked 100 times better than his surgery 8 years ago. I think it helps that they had less tumor to take our than last time. Since the last surgery removed the speech center, or most of it, from the left side of the brain, this time his speech is not nearly as impacted. He was able to move his leg and arm. He has weakness, but that is to be expected.

I spoke with the surgeon an he said that they removed all the tumor up to his motor cortex. So, they didn't have to cut in that area, which should increase Wayne's chances of regaining movement on his right side. He said that some of the speech issues Wayne is having is probably due to seizure activity since they did not go anywhere near that area of the brain. He said it will take about two weeks to get the tissue analysis back regarding the tumor. We already have a follow up appointment scheduled for 4/28. The surgeon said that he will help arrange for Wayne to get into Shirley Ryan Ability Lab for rehab. He said we will just have to take a day at a time with Wayne.

I truly believe that God heard all of your prayers and has moved in a powerful way getting Wayne through surgery and headed in the right direction. Wayne still has a long way to go and this is just beginning for him, but we will take this win today as a great start to this journey. I cannot thank you enough for your prayers!! Keep praying because God hears our cries and He has moved powerfully today. As 1 Chronicles says above, we thank God and praise His glorious name for these answers to prayer today!
