Genesis 8:22 "While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease."
We are quickly moving into cooler weather. I am always amazed to see the beauty of each season. My favorite season is Fall. I love the changing leaves, pumpkin, cooler weather, etc. The only negative of Fall is that Winter is right on its heels. I do love summer as well (Farmer's Markets, warm weather, no school), but there is something about Fall that I love. We are progressing nicely in school. We are finishing week 7 this week. Here are some of the fun things we've been working on this week.
Making papyrus paper
Writing hieroglyphics
Nature hike at The Little Red Schoolhouse. It was a cold morning (44 degrees) for a walk, but it was beautiful. The trees are starting to turn amazing colors. The girls loved seeing the animals, being in nature, and getting PE done for the day.
Walking the path.
Reading the signs with Mrs. Paula
Grace said, "I'm looking for birds."
The girls found some wood and made a see-saw.
Grace said, "I'm looking after my little sister."
Joella loved the turtles.
Leaf rubbings from the leaves we found on nature walks from this week around the neighborhood.
Today we started making a mummy for history. I found a fun kit that allows the kids to make a mummy in a mold. The mummy is then taken out of the mold and the kids will wrap the mummy. They then paint a burial mask and tomb for the mummy. The girls have been anxiously waiting for this project as we studied Egypt. It was a great motivator to help them finish up this section.
Keeping the mess outside!
Today we finally dug up our science project. The girls enjoyed learning about how decay works. One of the apples completely disappeared and the other one was over half gone (it was being eaten by ants).

Wayne is back at work and doing okay. Please be praying that God continues to sustain him and heal him. We are continuing to trust God and ask that He be glorified in each step of this journey.
