Lamentations 3:22-24 "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.'The Lord is my portion,' says my soul, 'therefore I will hope in Him.'”
To catch up on our previous trip pictures, here is Update 1 and Update 2.
Rocky Butte Park (Portland, OR)
Wednesday, June 22nd we headed north to Mt. Rainier as a family. On our way, we stopped at a salmon hatchery.
Lunch in Mt. Rainier. Three years ago, the path we walked was completely clear, this year it was covered with snow.
Thursday, we headed to Olympic National Park. We decided to be adventurous and drive the whole loop in one day. For anyone wanting to go, I would suggest something different. Although it was beautiful, I think we would have been better off visiting a few places instead of trying to see the whole thing.
Friday we took a ferry over to Victoria, Vancouver Island in British Columbia. We decided to visit Butchart Gardens (highly recommend that if you make it to the island). The flowers were amazing!!
Grace isn't a fan of boats. She wasn't sure about the ferry.
Joella was getting her picture taken and some sweet ladies from China came and asked if they could take her picture. They not only took her picture alone, but then each one came and took a picture next to her. It was super cute and she was a little confused from all the attention.
One of our favorite flowers...a lantern flower.
Sneak Peak: Part 4 - Copper Island (Mission Trip)
Update: Wayne had his MRI today at Northwestern. It was a long day at the hospital. The results were "inconclusive". There is a little spot in his surgical space that the doctor isn't sure about. To be conservative, we are getting another scan in 9 weeks instead of 12. The doctor didn't seemed worried. He wasn't sure if it was caused from getting a scan at a different time or the small seizure Wayne had on Friday (he didn't eat dinner and took his pills late while out of town). So, to be safe, we are going to go in 3 weeks early for another scan. Please continue to pray for us. We know everything is in God's hands and we are trusting Him.
Today marks one week until Piano Man gets here!! We are all looking forward to having him here.
I continue to pray for Wayne.
ReplyDeleteContinuing to pray and loved all of your pictures - such a beautiful family inside and out!
ReplyDeleteLove all your beautiful photos. Glad the doctor is not worried about the spot on the MRI but really glad they will follow up sooner. Praying for you all.
ReplyDeleteOkay sending my love. And praying now.
