8 Hours and Counting...

We are down to less then 8 hours before we have to be at Northwestern. At this point, all we know is that we have to arrive by 6:00am for an MRI. After the MRI, we will find out what time surgery actually happens. I will be updating the blog frequently tomorrow to keep everyone posted.

As we are getting ready to retire for the night, we are still experiencing such a peace. Philippians 4:4-7 says, "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." The peace that we are experiencing can only be coming from the source of peace - God, our Jehovah Shalom.

The verse that keeps coming to mind tonight is Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." I know that God is with us and has a perfect plan in all of this, even if I can't see it right now. He is holding us in His hands and surrounding us with His love and strength. I choose to enter tomorrow and the unknown future holding onto the One who is Sovereign, faithful and good.
